As 2025 draws to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what has truly been one of our busiest and most rewarding years yet. From inspiring events and industry recognition to meaningful collaborations and unforgettable team moments, it’s been a year to remember.
Above all, we want to say thank you. Thank you to our customers for keeping us so busy, for trusting us, and for allowing us to be part of your journey. Your support means everything to us, and we’re incredibly grateful.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited the Woolcool stand at the Farm Shop & Deli Show. It was a pleasure meeting so many new faces and reconnecting with long-standing customers, sharing our passion for sustainable packaging and learning more about your brilliant businesses.
We also headed to Lyon for the 25-year celebrations of LogiPharma. From insightful conversations to exciting new opportunities, it was fantastic to be part of such a forward-thinking event focused on innovation in pharma supply chains. Thank you to everyone who came to see us!
Another highlight was The Pharmacy Show, where it was brilliant to meet new people and catch up with our amazing customers and partners. Great conversations, plenty of smiles, and a real buzz all round.
2025 has been a standout year for recognition, and we couldn’t be prouder of what our team has achieved.
We were honoured to win the Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer Award at the Insider Made in the Midlands Awards. This recognition celebrates our commitment to sustainable innovation and ethical manufacturing, and it truly belongs to our incredible team, our pioneering approach, and the customers and partners who support us every step of the way.
We were also delighted to be named SME Employer of the Year at the ASPIRE Awards, presented by City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College. An incredible recognition from an organisation we’re very proud to work with.
One of our proudest moments of the year was being listed by The Times as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work, in partnership with WorkL. As the first packaging company of our kind to become a B Corp, we believe business should always be a force for good – for both the planet and its people.
At Woolcool, our team is at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to supporting personal development in all its forms and to creating an inclusive workplace that champions wellbeing, empowerment and diversity.
Our Managing Director, Josie, said:
“We are proof that diversity brings strength, creativity and success. It is an honour to be included in this prestigious list, but not as Woolcool the entity – this recognition is for our incredible people. They are the ones who make Woolcool the Best Place to Work.”
2025 brought another proud moment as we took home three awards at the University of Staffordshire Business Awards:
Business of the Year
Team of the Year
Lifetime Achievement Award for our very own Angie
Our CEO, Josie, summed it up perfectly:
“I know growth brings challenges and changes, this is true of any fast-moving business and last night was testimony to how we continue to adapt and react to make Woolcool the best we can be. We continue to go from strength to strength.”
We’re also incredibly proud to celebrate our CEO, Josie Morris MBE, who was named one of the LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders for 2025.
Collaboration, Community & Culture
This year, Woolcool became an official Period Dignity Employer, thanks to the brilliant team at Period Power. We’re committed to breaking taboos, supporting our team, and ensuring free and accessible period products in our workplace, because dignity should never be optional.
Supporting our local community is something we hold close to our hearts:
Our team volunteered at Dougie Mac Hospice, helping to refresh fences and outdoor spaces on a sunny day filled with teamwork and good spirits.
Our warehouse and office teams donated 77 Christmas gifts to The Gingerbread Centre, ensuring every child supported by the charity received a present this Christmas 🎅. Our teams also raised over £400 by taking part in a bake-off, raffle, and more to support this amazing charity.
Our Executive Chairman, Keith, proudly represented Woolcool at a charity golf day supporting The Peter Pan Centre, alongside volunteers from Barlaston Golf Club.
We’ve also loved seeing so many #LetsBoxClever submissions. Thank you to our community for finding such creative and inspiring ways to reuse our wool liners, you continue to amaze us.
2025 was also packed with moments that brought our team together:
A team pottery day at The Kiln at Number 12.
Taking part in Knot a Sports Day, full of laughter and friendly competition.
The DJH Charity Football Tournament at Powerleague Stoke.
These moments remind us that great things happen when people come together with shared purpose and plenty of good humour.
This year also saw the launch of the Woolcool podcast, where we welcomed inspiring guests including Jamie from AED Donate, Colin from Hydropac, Hannah from Valentine Clays, Eve from ProtectaPet, and our founder Angela. The podcast is all about innovation and creativity and how important these are within a business. Keep a look out for episodes to release in 2026!
What a year it’s been and we’re already even busier heading into 2026, with lots of exciting things to come.
To our customers, partners and our incredible team: thank you for letting us be part of your journey and for supporting everything we do.
Here’s to continuing to innovate, grow, and show the power of natural materials, together 🐑.
